I got back home from a weekend of obedience trial judging to find my new business cards. Max is a great poster dog, as I knew he would be. That’s one of my favorite photos of him. It so captures who he is, especially if he wants something from you!
I love taking photos of dogs. They are such honest subjects. My goal as a photographer is to capture the inner beauty of our furry friends as much as their outer beauty. The secret lies in the eyes. Have you ever really looked deeply into the eyes of man’s best friend? Try it some time. You might be amazed at what your dog is telling you.
With that, I’ll leave you with one of the last photos of my apricot Poodle, Solo. He was in his teens when I made this portrait of him, but the fire still lived in his soul and shone in his eyes.
