Happy Holidays!

"Max"

Wow!  Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah everyone.  I can’t believe I’ve gotten so far behind on my blogging and that the year is almost over.  I have a plan for 2012.  I intend to get my pet photography business off the ground.  I’ve been toying with the idea for several years now, but I think the time is finally right to do something more than just contemplate.  No, it’s not like I have any more spare time than I did before.  In fact, I have the first 3 1/2 months of 2012 pencilled in with lots of dog shows, tracking tests, and obedience and rally trials.  I need to concentrate on Ian’s Open obedience training and Flash’s breed showing and obedience training, while still working full-time to support my expensive hobbies!

Still, the time is almost right for me to start that little side business that I’ve been wanting for a long time.  I’ve got my new business cards ordered and they should be arriving any day now.  In the back of my mind, I’m working on a rate card and some marketing ideas.  My handsome Poodle boy Max, pictured above, is standing in as my poster dog and logo.  I will probably wait until after the English Cocker Spaniel Club of America National Specialty in the Spring to launch the business, as they are having a photo contest for amateur photographers and I’d love to enter some pictures of the English Cockers.

Between now and the actual formation of Images By Janice, I’ll be posting some progress reports here.  Hopefully you, my readers, will join me on this new and exciting journey.
